This gentle fluorescence of the stone is caused by the small inclusions of various metals and chemical compounds with different refractive indices. Individual layers of inclusions and incident rays create the impression of colors and lights as if they were coming from within the gem.
    In addition to the famous Swiss mines, lunar stones are also collected in Sri Lanka or India.
