The colors are white, gray, yellow-white, greenish, reddish, yellow-white, bluish, purple, also colorless. It is transparent to translucent, pleochroism is not known, it is thermoluminescent. White or colorless scratch. Glassy luster on crystal surfaces, pitch on fracture surfaces.
