Description

Sapphire (name from Hebrew) is a single crystal of aluminum oxide (Al2O3), a mineral called corundum. While corundum consists of pure aluminum oxide, sapphires always contain an admixture of other elements (iron, chromium, copper, magnesium, etc.) that give it a blue, red, yellow, pink, purple, orange or greenish color. Sapphires include all gemstones that are varieties of corundum except red - also called ruby.

We will be happy to provide you with a certificate upon request.
