Description

Celestine is formed by precipitation directly from seawater or during the solidification of marine sediments, when spherical concretions of celestine are formed in the rock, sometimes with a cavity and well-defined crystals inside. Celestine, strontium sulfate, is close to and similar to barite, but is somewhat less common in nature than barite. It can be colorless, white, light blue, yellowish, rarely red or brown.

Celestine druse - beautiful crystals (Madagascar)
A fragile-looking druse with delicate blue celestine crystals. This mineral is valued for its calm, harmonious appearance and pure, heavenly color. Ideal as a decorative stone or for working with the energy of space.

Composition: strontium sulfate (SrSO₄)
Location: Madagascar
Interesting facts: Celestine is known for its natural pastel blue color, which is created due to trace elements in the structure. It is often associated with a sense of inner peace and a gentle, airy energy – it’s no wonder its name comes from the Latin caelestis (“heavenly”).
