This beautiful, heavenly blue stone is a variety of burnt rock pectolite. The only place in the world where this precious mineral is located is the mountainous area on the island of Hispaniola in the Dominican Republic. Larimar is one of the rarest (and most valued) minerals. This stone is often associated with dolphins and is therefore also called the Dolphin Stone.
