Description

Since the Paleolithic and Neolithic, obsidian has been used to make tools, mostly scrapers, spearheads or knives. The oldest archaeological find documenting the use of obsidian dates back to Mesopotamia about 9000 years ago. In South America, it was used by Native American tribes as protection against evil forces, and preserved objects made of obsidian have been preserved. To this day, magical properties are attributed to him.
The Aztec or Mexican calendar is a calendar system used by the Aztecs and other pre-Columbian peoples of central Mexico. It is one of the Mesoamerican calendars that shares the basic structure of calendars from all over ancient Mesoamerica. In some respects, it surpasses our Gregorian calendar in accuracy, and could be used today. In its colorful relief, the cycles of the Sun, Moon, Venus, but also Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and some comets are symbolically captured. It had a dual purpose - astronomical and astrological, which means that it consisted of two parts: Xiuhpohualli - calendars for counting days and Tonalpohualli - calendars for counting destinies.
