Description
Ruby is a gemstone that belongs to the corundum minerals and is characterized by its red color. In the case of ruby, the red color is mostly dated to the presence of trace chromium in its composition. The ruby is known for its beauty, hardness and historically high value. Marble deposits containing rubies are known in Vietnam. One of the most important deposits is located in the Luc Yen area of Yen Bai province. The area is famous for its natural rubies embedded in white marble. Rubies found in this area have an intense red color and are often highly valued for their quality.
