Larimar, also known as the "Stone of Dolphins" or the "Stone of Atlantis" is one of the rarest semi-precious stones in the world. This fact is due to the fact that there is only one deposit in the world of this unique blue variety of pectolite, which is larimar. Larimar is mined only in the Dominican Republic, in a very small mountainous area, Barahona Province.

This luxury piece of jewelry is made of rhodium-plated silver. Rhodium plating or "antioxidation treatment" is a new way of surface treatment of jewelry. Silver oxidizes in the air, as a result it turns black, loses its luster, and its durability and quality decrease. Rhodium plating of silver is a technological procedure (plating) that serves to protect silver against blackening, yellowing and loss of luster.
