Ruby in Albite – Polished (India)

Ruby in Albite is a natural metamorphic rock formed mainly by albite (plagioclase feldspar) with an admixture of ruby ​​– a variety of the mineral corundum (Al₂O₃). Ruby appears in the material as irregularly dispersed grains and crystal aggregates in shades of pink, purple to ruby ​​red, which contrast with the light matrix of albite. In some pieces, small accompanying minerals (e.g. micas or dark inclusions) may also occur, which are typical for this type of rock.

This material comes from India, where rubies occur within metamorphic complexes and pegmatitic / vein associations. The polished surface highlights the structure of the rock, color contrasts and natural patterns of the stone, making each piece original and particularly suitable for collector and decorative purposes.

This is a 100% natural material, therefore there may be minor irregularities, microcracks, inclusions or natural color variations, which are not a defect, but a common feature of a natural mineral.
