Thulit
Thulite (variety of zoisite) is characterized by a beautiful pink color, caused by the increased content of Mn. Many crystals are speckled (due to the presence of white calcite). This interesting mineral was first discovered in 1820 at a place called Sauland (Telemark, Norway). He allegedly got his name from the mystical island of Thule. It is relatively rare. The most famous locality is currently located around Lexviken in Norway. It is used as a precious stone and for decorative purposes.
