Amber is a light and brittle substance, a special form of carbonaceous mineral, sometimes classified as a mineral. At other times, it is classified as an organogenic sedimentary rock because it is a fossilized resin of some trees, a mineralized resin of Tertiary conifers most often around 50 million years old (however, amber up to 320 million years old, ie derived from Paleozoic carbon) is known. The most common color of amber is golden yellow, but there are varieties completely transparent, red, coffee and white. Interestingly, amber has not been produced artificially to date, although its chemical composition and expected process are relatively well known.
