Description

Heliodor is one of the color variants of the mineral beryl. Beryl is a group of gemstones that includes different color variations depending on the trace elements present. Like other beryls, green heliodor is composed of silicon, aluminum and beryllium. Its green color is due to the presence of trace elements such as chromium, vanadium or iron. The center of gravity of green heliodor is precisely Brazil, which is known for its rich deposits of this gem. The main deposits of heliodor are found in Brazil, especially in the Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo regions. These Brazilian deposits are known for the richness and quality of heliodor. Other locations of mining are also Ukraine, Nigeria, Namibia and some areas in the USA.
Heliodor is considered one of the most beautiful and valuable forms of beryl. Its high hardness, crystalline structure and brilliant color make it a sought-after material for jewelry. It is often used in making necklaces, rings, earrings and other jewelry.
