Pietersite of Namibia is said to be the uncrowned king among fibrous quartz. It is a breeze of tiger, bull and falcon eye with velvety luster, beautiful colors and structure. In the beautiful stone of the pietersite, the very essence, power and beauty of the summer storm are literally cursed, as in the pietersit you see brilliant flashes of golden light in the middle of swirling clouds in the deepest blue color. Pietersite is also known as the Stone of Lightning or the Stone of Storm, because it is charged with strong energy that is almost palpable. It was named after its discoverer, a Namibian gem dealer, Sid Pieters.
